Poster frame size definition
All poster frames are defined by the size of the insert.
The overall frame size is therefore slightly larger.
The visible area (sometimes called the 'safe copy area') is less than the paper size for most poster fames.
Do not print text or logos too near the edge of the page!
Metric Paper Sizes
Metric paper sizes are also known as SI (Systeme Internationale) or DIN (German Standard) paper sizes.
They are used in most countries in the world - the important exceptions being USA and Canada.
In UK a few 'inch' sizes are used alongside metric paper sizes - see below.
Remember is that A8 size is very small (about 2in x 3in) and A0 size is big (nearly 3ft x 4ft).
Every A size is double the previous size: A3 is twice the size of A4, and so forth.
(North American visitors may not appreciate that Letter size paper and Legal size paper are not generally available in Europe).

To calculate in cm use mm above and move the decimal point one space to the left:
210mm is 21cm. The above cm sizes are nominal (i.e. rounded to the nearest cm)
